2025 Year in Review: Transformation, Growth, and Connections

2025 Year in Review: Transformation, Growth, and Connections

As we settle into 2026, we can’t help but to reflect on 2025.

We’re reflecting on the incredible amount of transformation, growth, and connections throughout our organization.

Adult Program

In our Adult Program, we opened our second signature home, Hillberry House. Shortly after, we purchased our third signature home, Briargate House. These houses became homes to our adult clients.

Each home contains inclusive technology like Grand Care to support routines and independent living.

In all 14 of our residential homes, we installed home generators that provide continuous power during outages, providing peace of mind for our residents and their families.

Helping Hand School

In our school, we were able to provide internships for HH School transition students at Plymouth Place, an assisted living community in La Grange. This was the first time transition students have received an internship in the community.

We hit a record enrollment of 82 students and were awarded the NASET School of Excellence Award. This award recognizes schools that go above and beyond in providing outstanding special education services.

Outpatient Clinic

Our outpatient clinic received a Behavioral Health Clinic Certification designated through the state of Illinois that allows for additional billing streams.

We saw our clinic team doubled in size. In 2022, we had 6 full time therapists and now, the clinic has added an Associate Director and have 11 full-time therapists.

2025 Agency Reflection

  • We launched HH NextGen to engage young adults in monthly volunteer leadership opportunities and community events.
  • We completed the Countryside parking lot upgrade which will allow us to continue growing our organization.
  • The Helping Hand School earned another three-year CARF Accreditation which reflects our commitment to quality care and continuous improvement in supporting the individuals we serve.
  • We added a Director of Agency Integrity and launched a dedicated Admissions Department, offering growth opportunities for our team members.
  • Our digital monument signs were installed at our Adult and Children Services buildings which get over 20K views daily.

For 2026, we are excited to see more opportunities for transformation, growth, and connections for our community.
