Our 24th Annual Gala: An Evening of Transformation on Friday, April 28th was a wonderful evening celebrating our mission.

We are thrilled to announce, with your support, our event raised over $260,000!

During the event, we saw an amazing journey of transformation at Helping Hand. We saw other student and client appearances throughout the evening, and reflected on all of our amazing staff that provide genuine care and education by bringing value to everyone served at Helping Hand.

For the mission appeal, we raised funds for a new playground that will be going in the courtyard at our Countryside building. This playground will be an adaptive, accessible, and exclusive therapeutic space where our clients and students will develop crucial skills.

Thank you to all our sponsors, Helping Hand team members, and committee members (Chris & Janel Bassett, Maureen Farmakis, Nicole Herweck, Meredith Grogan, Kathy Mangan, Sue Paraday, Mary Pat Sondheimer, Ann & Dareon Woodard) for making this event possible. Thank you ALL for connecting with us and helping us celebrate our mission!

Our 6th Annual Gallery Night was a fantastic evening celebrating and showcasing the art created by our clients and students at Helping Hand. Those in attendance were able to see the VALUE that art brings to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This transformative evening raised over $44,000 for our quality programmatic experiences!

Proceeds from this event will help renovate the Helping Hand School’s kitchen. This space will help launch the Community Connections Space as a vibrant social enterprise that promotes inclusive arts experiences within our community, generates a new revenue source for HH, and provides vocational and independent living skills training for young people with disabilities.

Thank you to ALL for your support of our 6th Annual Gallery Night! This night would not have been possible without all our donors, partners, sponsors, and volunteers. Thank you for connecting with us and celebrating the arts at Helping Hand!

We are excited to announce that we raised $40,000 from this event that will benefit our programs and services!

A special thank you to our Move with HH committee chairs – Vicki van Alphen and Chris Kurimay, Spring Rock Park, and the restaurants/grocery stores that provided food for our post-walk celebration (Trader Joes, Panera, Via Bella, and Tio Luis Tacos).

Thank you ALL again for your support in making our first year for this event a success! We look forward to seeing you at our Move with HH walk again next fall!

Our 36th Annual Golf Outing was a HUGE success thanks to all of your support. We are thrilled to announce that we raised over $116,000 (gross) – a record breaking number!

Congratulations to The SSA Group for receiving the Advocacy Leadership Award award – thank you for all that you do for Nick and others in the I/DD community! Thank you to the individuals for participating in our Invest in the Mission to help us purchase a van to get our clients to and from their jobs in the community safely.

A special thank you to our vocational leaders, event volunteers, the Golf Outing committee, and our chairs of the committee for making this event such a success – Paul Murphy and Jim Walker.
