25th Annual Gala: An Evening of Transformation Through the Culinary Arts logo

Our 25th Annual Gala: An Evening of Transformation through Culinary Arts on Friday, April 19th was an amazing evening celebrating our mission.

We are thrilled to announce, with your support, our event raised over $325,000 to help fund our new teaching kitchen!

Our new kitchen will serve as a team-building environment for our community and culinary arts space that will promote health and wellness among HH clients and students.

  • HH School: Students building independent living skills would use the new kitchen to learn about nutrition, meal planning, and meal prep.
  • Adult Services: The newly remodeled kitchen would allow us to engage with our clients around the culinary arts in support of their daily living skill development.
  • Vocational Training: Clients will train in culinary and hospitality roles learning skills such as customer service, hosting, event site set-up and clean-up, food prep, stocking, and inventorying supplies.

Thank you ALL for connecting with us and helping us celebrate our mission!

THANK YOU to everyone who supported and witnessed our 7th Annual Gallery Night event last Thursday! Those in attendance saw our vision come alive as they were immersed in ALL the arts that our clients and students create at Helping Hand.

We moved our mission through the community on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023 at our second annual Move with HH walk fundraiser. It was the perfect fall morning and we were thrilled to see so many HH friends, families, team members, and community members out to raise awareness and connect with each other.

We are excited to announce that we raised over $40,000 from this event that will benefit our programs and services!

A special thank you to our Move with HH committee chairs – Vicki van Alphen and Paul Saladino, our sponsors, and our in-kind donors for the post-walk family fest (Whole Foods, Jewel Osco, Culture Pop, Via Bella, and Tio Luis Tacos).

We look forward to seeing everyone again next fall!

Our 37th Annual Golf Outing was a HUGE success. We are thrilled to announce that we raised over $161,000 (gross) – a record breaking number!

Thank you to the individuals for participating in our Invest in the Mission to help us raise funds to build a playground for our school and clinic. This playground will be an adaptive and exclusive therapeutic space where kids develop crucial skills.

A special thank you to the Bassett family for sharing their story, event volunteers, the Golf Outing committee (Jerry Kallas and Jim Walker), and our chairs of the committee (Paul Murphy and Pat Ormsby).

Thank you ALL again for your support and helping transform the lives of those we serve! We look forward to another amazing event on the course next year.
