Together We Shine: Helping Hand at the La Grange Pet Parade

What an unforgettable day! Helping Hand showed up full force at this year’s La Grange Pet Parade at the beginning of this month- with over 70 staff members, clients, families, and volunteers walking together and representing our mission of transforming lives with the community. To top it all off, we won 4th Place for our float and the energy the clients brought! 

The cheers from the crowd were absolutely inspiring. As we walked the parade route, you could feel the love and support pouring in from the community. 

For our clients riding on the float, waving proudly to the crowd, the experience was pure joy. Being part of something so public and celebrated is deeply empowering- and those smiles say it all.  

It took teamwork to make this day happen. From designing and decorating the float to organizing transportation and getting everyone in place, our teams created something truly special. A special thank you to the Pet Planning committee for bringing this day together. 

 It was a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve with Helping Hand’s supportive community.  

To the La Grange community, thank you. Your cheers, kindness, and energy meant everything to us. Our clients felt seen, valued, and celebrated. We are already excited for next year!
