This past weekend, our community came together for a day filled with fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition at our 2nd annual Pickleball Classic—and what an incredible day it was!
Players of all levels grabbed their paddles and filled the courts with energy and excitement. Whether you were a first-time player or a seasoned pro, the community came together to make the event a huge success!
This event was about so much more than pickleball. Thanks to the generosity of our participants, sponsors, and supporters, our Associate Board raised over $15,000 to help advance our mission of transforming the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Vice-Chairperson of the HH Associate Board and event leader, Patrick Callahan, shared, “We were ecstatic to raise over $15,000—nearly triple last year’s total—and we’re excited about the potential for even greater impact next year.”
When asked what he enjoyed most about the event, he said, “My favorite part of the event was introducing the clients to the attendees. Nothing helps spread the message of Helping Hand and builds a stronger connection to the organization like developing relationships with the clients.”
We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who made this event possible. The dedication and effort from our incredible Associate Board did not go unnoticed.
Due to their outreach efforts, they sold out the event the week of!
As we put away the paddles until next year, we’re already looking forward to what’s ahead—and we hope you’ll join us again to keep the momentum going! Until then, you can join us at our next event: Move with HH 5K! Learn more here.
Thank you to everyone for supporting us and believing in our mission. Together, we’re making a difference.
